Our project portfolio features experience in bridge, highway, and structural design; condition and safety inspection; civil and site engineering support; construction inspection and administration; survey and mapping; and hydrographic services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
We have an opening for a Highway Design Project Manager working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse office.
*Please note that this is NOT an IT Project Manager position and requires at least 10 years of civil engineering experience.
What you’ll be able to do:
• Develop and review of contract documents, feasibility studies, analysis, conceptual designs, design calculations, final design and specifications, engineering and construction cost estimates, and support permitting applications
• Identify, develop and gather required technical resources to complete project assignments
• Plan and coordinate detailed design phases amongst design staff to ensure project deliverables are met within schedule and budget.
• Provide technical guidance and review of Project Engineer’s and CAD operator’s work for accuracy and completeness
• Understand and apply client design standards and requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
• BS Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
• New York State PE or PE in other states with the ability to obtain PE in New York State
• Minimum of 10 years highway design experience developing contract documents for State Department of Transportation projects
• Proficient in MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
